AT A&E, WE ARE CONSTANTLY UPDATING AND REVISING our methods of delivery, storage and use of materials in order to be eco-friendly. That includes using only EPA Post Consumer Recycled Content compliant paper products and verified green cleaning processes. This approach helps to both preserve the environment and reduce cost, packaging and transportation impacts.

A&E uses Green Cleaning Chemicals and concentrated cleaning agents. We develop a means to keep our cleaning supplies on the site, which leads to less shipping and a reduced carbon footprint.

We follow the Green Seal's Schedule 37 for industrial and institutional cleaners and train our employees on the new cleaning agents and encourage the use of low impact detergents (hand soap, dish soap, laundry soap.

Transit costs further impacts the environment. Our vehicles all exceed the current 15-20 MPG requirements. Since vehicle use impacts the environment, we constantly update our fleet of vehicles to encourage newer, higher miles per gallon, fuel efficient, hybrid vehicles to reduce carbon emissions and footprint.

Another way to reduce transit impacts, A&E is in the process of instituting sustainable supply chain purchasing practices including:

• Process orders over the internet or direct electronic interface.
• Process invoices via directly through electronic invoicing.
• Process payments directly through p-card and electronic automated clearinghouse payment.
• Schedule delivery of best practical order size to reduce distributor transits.
• Maximize available contract volume discounts to reduce costs and distributor transits.
